Cheesemon is awesome.

Seriously, this guy makes the best entries. He's interning in Japan, and he always makes amusing and informative posts.

So here are some of the best from his most recent post

On bugs--

What better way to start your morning than with a delicious bowl of Special K Red Berries, followed by a giant spider in your bathroom. It took me awhile to regain my composure at this monstrosity, but I eventually found the courage to pick up the bug spray and go on the offensive. I think the spray irritated the guy because it started crawling towards me to let me know. No matter how much I sprayed, it just kept coming -- it was like the T-1000!!! I finally stopped it with the vacuum, but for all I know, it's still alive and feeding on all the bugs inside, waiting for the right time to reemerge and regain control of the bathtub. :(

On political correctness vs scientific correctness--

As I started work, I was surprised to see a white guy step into the office (FYI, I stopped using the term "Caucasian" after my psych prof told me that actually refers to facial bone structure, and that it's better to use either white or Euro-something-or-other-that-makes-you-sound-like-some-Jeopardy-know-it-all. So I'll avoid using the incorrect politically correct term, k? :) ).

On the radio--

By the time we reached the first PSP, I had heard a bunch of Ricky Martin (who seems to still be quite popular in Japan. oO "Outside, inside, out, livin' la Hokey Pokey." Bleh.) and a song beautifully titled "I Want To Sex You Up." It was kinda funny how after the song was over, the DJ went "Sore wa Ah wan toh sekusu you a poo! . . ." I wonder if she even knows what it means. :P

On meeting someone from the US--

Around this time, I also learned that Jake was from Georgia. "Do you like Bill Goldberg?" Bill who? "Did you go to the Olympics?" Yes. "Are you the Olympic Park bomber?" No. That was the end of the conversation. ^^;

On statuary--

I also spotted this HUGE white statue, it was truly an awesome sight and I wish I took a picture of it. I had no idea what it was, so I asked Kujiraoka: "Godzilla?" "No, Virgin Mary." "Ohhh . . . Maryzilla!"

On nicknames--

Kin-chan got me thinking of Crayon Shin-chan, but I kept that one to myself since I don't think he would've appreciated me comparing him to a boy that compulsively drops his pants. ^^;;

Oh, just go read the post. His whole journal is gold.
