Important people are fighting over the existence of god. Others are fighting against or for evolution, something as confusing as anything else. Some people fill the world with hate, some only care about themselves. Funny you never see my God on the television. You hear about Christians, but they show you nothing about Christ.
Most people really don’t understand what I do. I’m not a motivational speaker, or a teacher, or a historian, or lecturer, or therapist, or business manager, or CEO. Sometimes I do things similar to those people, but they have gifts and graces different from mine. I am called to two things: Word and Sacrament. Everything I do is a reflection of those two things, and those two things are gifts from God, gifts that show one thing: love. That is what I do. I love and care for a group of people and their community and their world because I am called to do so. There are others who will deal with the crisis and the shock of these situations. I deal with love in each case and with the living.
Passion Week remembers a time when we were all given something, something we are still given. Growing up I thought I knew what that love was all about. As I got older I thought I experienced love and fell in love time and time again. Eventually I felt the truest love, but then I did not understand it. Love continues to grow at I continue to sense and feel its reality and how it moves and works in the world. Love is the answer to every question and the only thing that matters. The love we share is only a reflection of the truth, but even a reflection can show you a piece of reality.
