I had a discussion with some friends a few weeks back about babies and how parents are proud of when their children could do certain things. This was my response:

"That wouldn't impress me. Most children read, speak, walk, and crawl. I would never brag about that. If I brag, I want to say, "Look what my kid can do!" and people would say, "I never knew a kid could bounce so high without the addition of rubber!" Now THAT'S an achievement."

My kid wouldn't last a week in my home.
