Welcome our zombieokie masters!

archanglrobriel describes his husband's sleeping habits:

Soren can sleep standing up, leaning against a pick up truck. He can sleep anywhere at any time, regardless of what's going on or what just happened. I can't figure out if it's an Okie thing or a Lord of the Undead sort of thing. Maybe it's an Okie Lord of the Undead thing.

Cue Dubya Pee. Context, though flocked, is locked inside a mall in Tulsa.

Who knew? (QWP)

bunny_pwns_you: So are Jews really punker-than-thou?
rosebranch:Totally. We have HEBE tattooed across our bellies, in Old English font. Those little hats some of our guys wear? The perfect place to stash a baggie of cocaine, or a shank. The Star of David? Six anarchy 'A's. You think old-school punk rockers hold a grudge against the kiddie punks of today? Jews have been holding our grudges for centuries.

Hell hath no fury like a woman who has to repeat a dungeon crawl

atdt1991 comments in theferrett's journal:
There is one particular evening I will always remember as the angriest I have ever seen my grandmother. Even on occasions that she smacked me, she was never this infuriated.

See, I was nine or so, and she was playing Phantasy Star I on the Sega Master System. It was what she did - she had a folder with armor and weapon prices cross-referenced across planets and meticulously mapped dungeons.

She was in a particularly gnarly dungeon (I discovered later), and she'd swear under her breath when she'd fall into a trap and have to backtrack. Hours passed.

I, on the other hand, was playing with a big-wheeled dune buggy. Vroom, it went, over her shoulder! Vroom, it went, over the desk! Vroom, it went, over the Sega, tripping the reset button!

We both stared dumbly as the SEGA tones sounded... and then I ran my ass out of there, because my head was about to be piked.
Context is replying to a father's sage advice to daughter about saving early and often.
