Narcissa!

(no subject)

ladyzeugma in weddingplans is buying a present for her flower girl:

When I was that age, it was all nameplate necklaces, jelly bracelets and long strands of plastic beads like Madonna (a.k.a. the flea market). Oh, and those Irish heart and crown rings. That stuff can't still be popular, can they? While shopping I saw a lot of initial pendants, charm bracelets, and ladybugs. Are those really in? Do classics like pearls and hearts still work? Clearly, I'm over thinking this. It just hit me that an 11-year-old girl is alien to me now, like shopping for a cephalopod.

Context is all grown up. QWP.

faoiltiamatani and suzuran_lily discuss the new YuGiOh series.

llamrei: WHY DO THEY KEEP CALLING IT YUUGIOU. YUUGI ISN'T IN IT. CALL IT SOMETHING ELSE.
suzuran_lily: BUT THEY NEED THE REPEAT VIEWERS. Like, no one would watch GX if they called it "A Bunch Of Losers Play Card Games: The Series".
suzuran_lily: ... I guess people would watch "A Bunch Of Losers Play Card Games: The Series: _Motorcycle Edition_"
llamrei: Well, they watch GX anyway.
suzuran_lily: I tried watching it once. It's like ... YGO Lite. Now with 100% less Egypt.

Context is wondering who would want to watch a cartoon about a bunch of motorcyclists playing card games. QWP

I recently asked a friend of mine who has paranoid schizophrenia (and who sometimes has to remind himself that he's not Jesus) what he thought of Fred Phelps, and if he thought Phelps had the same kind of mental illness.

His response? "Oh, no way. I'm schizophrenic, but that fucker's CRAZY."
